For all of you language and vocabulary connoisseurs it might be interesting to know that the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) added internet slang, and as stated in blog.oxforddictionaries.com, “is ‘bare’ good and ‘nailed on’ to interest and impress you.”

The new acquired words include FML (f%$k my life), under vulgar slang, YOLO (you only live once), amazeballs (extremely good or impressive), ICYMI (in case you missed it) and douchebaggery (obnoxious or contemptible behavior), all under informal category.

According to their website, the different research teams at OED constantly monitor new words coming into the language. “When we have evidence of a new term being used in a variety of different sources it becomes a candidate for inclusion in one of our dictionaries.”

“Be a 'baller' and join the 'hyperconnected' vocabulary fandom,” states the entity that is the last word on words for the English language this past century.
