Having a drink just got a little easier.
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau recently approved Palcohol (powdered alcohol) to be sold in the U.S.
To get your drink on, the powder packets need to be added to water. So far, four powders have been approved for sale: vodka, rum, cosmopolitan and margarita.
Although Palcohol has yet to hit shelves, several states (Alaska, Louisiana, South Carolina, Vermont and Virginia) have already banned it, while other states are considering a ban. There are fears that the powder will be easily abused by children, used improperly (like snorting), or snuck into places where alcohol is not normally permitted like movie theaters, concerts, sporting events, schools or workplaces.
The company hopes to get Palcohol in stores this summer.
