(VIDEO) 100 years of beauty in one minute
A series of videos that feature time-lapsed photography of a model getting her hair and makeup done to match the beauty trends of every decade from 1910 to 2010 have been published by the Seattle base Media outlet Cut.com
The team previously released two videos on 100 years of American hair and makeup fashion, followed by those featuring Iranian, Korean and Mexican trends.
But the project goes beyond beauty trends and captures political and religious changes throughout the decades.
"We wanted to do something that was unexpected," Mike Gaston, the video's creative director, told USA TODAY Network about the Iranian beauty video.. "And we wanted to do something that would explore a country where the fashion was so obviously influenced by the politics."
