Two Roads Brewing honors Beastie Boys and presents Road Jam Philadelphia
Connecticut’s Two Roads Brewing Company will bring a wealth of tastings and tap takeovers, including their popular summer Road Jam Concert & Beer Festival, to Philadelphia, bringing the spirit of the brewery’s annual Road Jam Concert at the brewery in Stratford, CT to a new Pennsylvania audience for the first time.
Kicking off the month with a Tuesday Tapping at Manayunk’s Lucky’s Last Chance, the Two Roads team will bring their beers to Lucky’s for a tap takeover event on August 4 from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. Keep it going with a lyrically-charged Birthday Party for legendary Beastie Boy Adam “MCA” Yauch at American Sardine Bar:
Then on Wednesday, August 5 starting at 5 p.m., ASB will pour Two Roads beers, crack Two Roads cans and crank the Beastie Boys inside and outside “til the break of dawn.”
Festivities will finalize on Saturday, August 29 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. with three outdoor music festivals in Berks County, Bucks County and Philadelphia, all at the same time. The best part? All three venues will pour Two Roads’ famed Road Jam, a raspberry-blackberry-lemongrass wheat ale, perfect for the hot summer heat and sun.
- Island Pizza in Birdsboro will host two live bands – Kyle Stagg and The Piersons -- on their popular outdoor deck.
- Dog & Bull in Croydon will feature “crushable” cans and rare drafts while two live bands – Heather Heather and Soul Custody – jam out all day during a lively outdoor party.
- City Tap House in University City will host three live bands – W.C. Lindsay, Thee Idea Men, and a surprise third act -- on their outdoor party deck, dedicating more than a dozen of their 60 taps to rare and exclusive Two Roads pours; and DJ Kid Charlemagne will be spinning on the ones and twos to keep the good vibes going all day and night long.
