Alejandro Sanz and Greeicy release 'Lejos conmigo'
Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz and Colombian singer Greeicy's newest single, "Lejos conmigo" rose to #2 in trending music over the weekend.
Renowned Spanish singer and coach on the reality TV show La Voz, Alejandro Sanz, made his return to music in a new collaboration with Colombian artist, Greeicy, on the new single "Lejos conmigo."
The music video accompanying the song was filmed in Madrid, at the Neoclassical Museum of Madrid, which serves as the backdrop for the fleeting love story between a visitor and worker in the museum.
In the video, Greeicy appears with the Spaniard dancing and acting as they walk through a museum, while noting that one of the museum guides is musician Mike Bahia, her current partner of more than nine years.
The song is a mix between the rhythm of Colombian drums and the melody of the Spanish guitar. It was released on all digital platforms on Friday, Aug. 20, and so far, the song has more than 3 million views on YouTube.
"Inexplicable my feeling," shared the singer through her Instagram account moments before the song's premiere.
Greeicy also shared that she was grateful for the collaboration with the Spanish singer.
"It's inevitable to cry when something that didn't want to happen happens better than it was going to happen. Things happen the way they have to happen. A team effort," said the Colombian artist.
For his part, Sanz also dedicated a few words to his partner for the new collaboration.
"Everything happens for a reason, everything has its moment. And this is ours @greeicy. Thank you for making me part of your dream. This Friday, far away, but with you my dear Greeicy," he wrote next to the cover of the new single.
