Kate del Castillo fans show out in Bolivia
Admirers of Kate del Castillo waited near the set of the series La Reina del Sur in El Alto, Bolivia to meet the actress.
Actress Kate del Castillo announced this week that she was in El Alto, Bolivia, for the filming of the third season of the telenovela the soup opera La Reina del Sur.
Following the news, fans of the Mexican actress gathered outside the telenovela's set.
"I'm here to take a picture [with Kate]," said Yandira García, a young woman who spent several hours in front of a party hall in El Alto.
The space chosen to begin filming was a building called "Príncipe de la Paz," a Cholet, as Bolivians colloquially call the multi-colored buildings that house imposing party halls.
With an architecture that reflects the prestige and economic power of the buildings' owners, they are a symbol of the city.
The Alteños, admirers of the soap opera, were proud to be at the filming location. The production needed several vehicles, some for sound, others for lighting and an ambulance that closed the streets nearby to be able to carry out filming in tranquility.
The police security set up a perimeter so some media could cover the filming, although they were more permissive with the fans, who were able to get a few meters closer.
After several hours of waiting and in the characteristic cold of the Andean country, Kate's fans resisted to see her, greet her and ask for an autograph or a photo.
"I'm going to stay until I can see her" one fan told the press.
After four years of waiting and with an increasing popularity, the filming of the most recent season of La Reina del Sur, is generating high expectations among her fans.
