In August, Netflix will premiere a series of exclusive programs for the streaming giant. One of the most anticipated premiers is that of Todo va a estar bien. Created by Diego Luna, the actor is ready to showcase his talent as a writer and director. After a five-year hiatus, Luna resumes his directing with the project.

The original Mexican series will be available on Aug. 20.

The series will address some ideas that sometimes seem immutable in the collective imagination, such as romantic love, gender roles, monogamous relationships, family and marriage. Todo va a estar bien arises from the analysis of the perspective of today's world. Between drama and humor, the series delves into the changes manifesting themselves in human relationships and the reinvention of social interactions.

Todo va estar bien is a project of the production company La Corriente del Golfo, founded by Diego Luna and Gael García. This new adventure of Luna comes five years after his last film, Mr. Pig.

In other works, such as Pan y Circo (2020), the actor and director puts social issues such as climate change, drug trafficking, feminism and migration at the center. Luna excitedly shared on his social media that his show Pan y Circo, won two awards at the Daytime Emmy Awards, which recognize excellence in American daytime television programming.

For its part, Todo va a estar bien has a star-studded cast, including actors Flavio Medina, Lucía Uribe, Isabella Vázquez, Pierre Louis and Mercedes Hernández, so it is expected to also receive major recognition. It should be noted that Mexico City itself is also a character and the setting where the story will unfold.
