On Dec. 9 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. PT, the first annual Celebration of Latino Cinema Awards will be held virtually. The Critics Choice Association (CCA) will celebrate the highlights of Latino cinema, honoring the work of Latino performers and creators across 10 categories.

On Wednesday, Dec. 1, the Critics Choice Association announced the list of honorees and presenters for the first annual Celebration of Latino Cinema. In addition to revealing the artists to be honored at the ceremony, comedian, writer, producer and actress Cristela Alonzo was announced as the host.

The creative team behind the Netflix animated film Vivo will be honored by the CCA, and will celebrate each of the artists on the team: Eugenio Derbez, Rita Moreno, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Gloria Estefan, Alex Lacamoire, Juan de Marcos and Ynairaly Simo. All will receive the 'Film Music Award.'

"We are honored to present these awards to such a distinguished group of iconic artists and are thrilled to celebrate Latino cinema at this first-ever awards show. We applaud the Critics Choice Association for highlighting the countless contributions of these outstanding Latino performers and figures," said CCA members and co-programmers of the Celebration of Latino Cinema.

Derbez will also receive the 'Supporting Actor' award from Eva Longoria. He is currently the most successful Latino actor at the box office.

Finally, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Pulitzer, Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award-winning composer, actor and director, will receive the 'Visionary Award.'
