Dionicio Jiménez, executive chef of El Rey, a STARR Restaurant in Center City, was featured at the most recent edition of AL DÍA Chef Series. The event was created to showcase the cultural impact of Latino cuisine in the Greater Philadelphia area by highlighting prominent Latino chefs among the most successful immigrant entrepreneurs in the Latino community.

The chef talked about the culinary process of maintaining a traditional Mexican flavor while creating his own original dishes. Guests had the opportunity to taste traditional dishes including enchiladas de pollo, ceviche, guacamole paired with traditional Mexican drinks like margaritas and palomas (Mexican cocktail that mixes tequila with grapefruit soda).
