For the fifth year in a row, Philadelphia will welcome spring with farmers, artisans and local food experts during the Philly Farm and Food Fest 2016. The Pennsylvania Convention Center plans to gather over 130 exhibitors this Sunday, April 10th, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

One of the most acclaimed features of past editions is back: during PF3 Kitchen, renowned chefs and butchers from the city will reveal tricks, recipes and tips. The panel will include representatives from Zahav’s Middle Eastern Flavors, Kensington Quarters, Talua’s Garden & Heritage Farm, Russet and Wyebrook Farm and Ladavisa Meats.

Cheese lovers cannot miss the Curd Festival, which will feature a tasting and will gather cheese artisans to speak about pairings, production processes and innovative recipes that celebrate everyone’s favorite ingredient.

The Local Libations Lounge will offer — for those 21 and over — local samples of distilled and fermented beverages produced in the area. For an additional $10, assistants will participate in a tasting that will offer several wine and cheese pairings.

Kids will not be left without options during this Festival: the Kid’s Corral, sponsored by MOM’s Organic, will feature a petting zoo with alpacas, bunnies and goats for children’s delight. In another kid-friendly activity, the whole family can make their own tea bags with medicinal herbs in a workshop hosted by Cloud9.

Tickets to the event are $20 for online purchases and $25 on the day of the event in the ticket offices of the Convention Center. Kids under 12 enjoy free admission.
