One of the few Fortune 500 Latino CEOs in the country will be returning to work after a heart transplant, United Airlines said Monday.

President and Chief Executive Officer of United, Oscar Muñoz, will return to carry out all of his duties and responsibilities on March 14. Muñoz went on medical leave due to a heart attack only a month after being named the airline’s new CEO in September of last year.

“I am thrilled to return full-time to a job and the employees I love,” said Muñoz.

In October, United released a statement in January saying Muñoz had undergone a heart transplant. His surgeons and doctors said they expected the CEO would make a full recovery.

Muñoz touted the company's 2015 pre-tax earnings [$4.5 billion] in a statement signaling his return, calling them the best in United’s history.

The company has been busy buying back almost $1.2 billion shares and the CEO says there are plans to continue the buybacks. United was also one of the airlines who announced in early February that it would bring back free snacks and coffee for domestic economy passengers.
