No papers, no scholarship: Latino budding scientist becomes food truck chef

After winning a prestigious robotics contest, Dreamer Lorenzo Santillan had the chance to become a scientist, but his immigration status kept him from getting a university scholarship and he had to find an alternative, which turned out to be a traveling food truck that he calls "Neither Here Nor There."

An anti-Muslim attack in a London mosque on Saturday was followed by a frustrated terrorist attack on Monday in Paris, where an armed man identified as an Islamic extremist was killed after he rammed a card loaded with weapons and explosives in to a police convoy. Increasing Islamist terror and hate crime against Muslims at the same time...  is this exactly what ISIS want?

Both leaders met in Washington and agreed to work for peace and democracy in Venezuela. With an agenda focusing on security, fighting drug trafficking and controlling illegal immigration, Varela is expected to meet today with Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.

Medida que convertiría California en "estado santuario" recibe respaldos

El proyecto de ley que busca convertir a California en un "estado santuario" recibió hoy el respaldo del jefe del Departamento de Policía de Los Ángeles (LAPD), Charlie Beck, y el exfiscal general de Estados Unidos Eric Holder, entre otras autoridades policiales y políticas.

En una conferencia de prensa conjunta, el promotor de la iniciativa SB54, llamada "Ley de valores de California", el presidente encargado del senado Kevin De León, resaltó que "la SB54 hace las comunidades más seguras", porque "estamos bajo la amenaza constitucional de la Administración Trump".
