El Senado de los Estados Unidos confirmó el día de ayer a la multimillonaria y conservadora Betsy DeVos como secretaria de Educación del gobierno de Donald Trump, tras la votación más cerrada en la historia reciente del país.

En una elección que había quedado empatada entre 50-50 de los votos en el Senado, fue finalmente el vicepresidente Mike Pence quien usó su facultad de presidente del Senado para emitir su voto a favor de la nominada de Donald Trump.

Betsy DeVos was confirmed on Wednesday as Education Secretary despite education activists and concerned citizens see her as an enemy of publich schools, with no experience and with questionable religious and conservative views.
