[OP-ED]: The Cinderella story continues

 03/17/2017 - 16:36

Once upon a time there was a humble club located in the center of England that, despite having more than 100 years of history, lived poorly in the Football League Championship, fighting more to not drop to a lower division than to reach the dream Premier League.

After the draw, Leicester will face Atlético Madrid in the quarterfinals.  Of course the Spaniards are favorite, but Simeone and company should not get overconfident. Until it is defeated in the Champions League, the story of this small English club, a true Cinderella of European soccer, will continue. EFE

The Champions League had never experienced a round of 16 week as the one we just witnessed. There were plenty of emotions started by the two goals headed by Sergio Ramos that qualified Real Madrid for the quarterfinals. Anyway, nothing can be compared with FC Barcelona’s amazing comeback against Paris Saint-Germain, the largest in European soccer history as no team had made it to the following round after losing 4-0 the first-leg game.
