Nacida en South Philly de padres inmigrantes Latinos, Michelle Angela Ortiz ha sido premiada con la prestigiosa beca de la Robert Rauschenberg Foundation por su trabajo con los inmigrantes indocumentados y las familias separadas por deportaciones. Su primer sketchbook fueron hojas de papel botadas.

Rizos On The Road: two bloggers use coily hair to talk about Afro-Latino identity

Since April, Ada Rojas and Rocio Mora have traveled to six cities around the country - Miami, New Orleans, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York - driving their Kia provided by the automaker sponsoring their tour dubbed "Rizos On The Road."

Una carta publicada en un semanario Jesuita por un padre católico y otro protestante - ambos muy próximos al Papa- acusa a la alianza entre integristas católicos y evangélicos en EE.UU de fomentar el fundamentalismo religioso en la política. La carta ha enfurecido a los católicos ultraconservadores americanos, entre ellos, el arzobisbpo católico de Filadelfia, que tildó a los autores de "idiotas útiles".
