The Hispanic immigrant community has played a fundamental role in the growth of the city in the last decade. In the streets it is more and more common to hear conversations held in Spanish. However, it seems that this important trend is not reflected in universities. Why? A general crisis in the study of the humanities would be the answer. AL DÍA News spoke with professors from three of the most prominent universities in the city.

La comunidad inmigrante de origen hispano ha jugado un papel fundamental en el crecimiento demográfico de la ciudad  en la última década. En las calles cada vez es más común escuchar conversaciones sostenidas en español, sin embargo esta tendnecia parece no reflejase en las universidades. ¿Por qué? Una crisis general en el estudio de las humanidades sería la respuesta. AL DÍA News habló con profesores de tres de las universidades más importantes de la ciudad.
