The unarmed Latinos killed by police in 2015

Ruben Garcia Villalpando was one of three unarmed Mexican nationals killed by the police in February, 2015. Villalpando did not obey the officer's orders to remain still, and was shot twice in the chest with his hands on his head. Screenshot from the Grapevine, Tex., police dashcam video.

To date, at least 16 of the 105 Latino victims were not carrying a deadly weapon.

El autor amerindio Sherman Alexie, "El indio más fuerte del mundo", hizo una vez este sabio comentario: "No hagan honor a sus estereotipos". 

Nadie podría acusar a Manuel Guerra Casas de caer en eso. Durante años ha luchado contra leyes perjudiciales para los inmigrantes, como la denominada "papeles, por favor" en Arizona, y a favor de la aprobación de la Ley DREAM. Casas, tal como dice el famoso eslogan, es "indocumentado [y se muestra] impávido". Pero más que nada, no apoya al presidente Obama —de hecho, es un defensor activo y elocuente de Mitt Romney.
