The 36-year-old journalist made his remarks in the border city of Tijuana, where he presented the latest edition of his book "Oaxaca sitiada" (Besieged Oaxaca). He first wrote the work a decade ago to tell the story of a 2006 uprising in that impoverished, largely Indian-populated state against then-Gov. Ulises Ruiz.

The United States may have escaped most digital damage from the global “ransomware” virus, though cyber experts fear more attacks. One possible explanation is that the malicious software (”malware”) harms older versions of Microsoft’s Windows operating system, which most Americans have replaced. Perhaps many users in other countries haven’t. Whatever the explanation, this is not the end of internet threats.

US President will tour Tel Aviv and Jerusalem today, after a weekend in Ryadh, prioritizing trade deals over human rights concerns. During his visit to Israel, Trump is expected to meet prime minister with Benjamin Netanyahu and later with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to discuss an eternal goal: an "ultimate peace deal."
