Mexico, Guatemala to facilitate cross-border migrant movement

Presidents of both countries, which share a land frontier of more than 595 miles, agreed to continue working to modernize infrastructure in the border zone to facilitate the safe and humane passage of migrants, as well as cross-border trade.

The President of the United States said he will announce Thursday whether or not his country will leave the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, according to the president"s personal Twitter account.

Big Texas cities to sue state over recent law prohibiting sanctuary cities

The new law ratified by Gov. Greg Abbott allows law enforcement officers to ask legally detained or arrested people for their the immigration status and punishes officials who refuse to cooperate with federal immigration agencies, including ICE.

According to a press release from the governor's office, the law signed would ban sanctuary cities in the state of Texas, and would require both local government and law enforcement to comply with federal immigration laws.
