Governor of California Jerry Brown has included an extra $15 million in the state’s budget to expand legal defense services for people facing risk of deportation, in response to the Trump administration’s though immigration policies.

The Trump administration’s extreme anti-immigration policies have terrorized immigrant communities all over the country, but New York, living up to its reputation as the quintessential immigrant state, is becoming the first in the nation to provide a fighting chance to all poor immigrants facing deportation.

The Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia held the official inauguration of the “Legal Defense Center” for Mexican immigrant rights within its offices, located at 111 South Independence Mall East,.

Given the new immigration measures announced by the United States government and President Trump, the President of Mexico instructed all of the Mexican Consulates in this country to become “authentic defenders of the rights of [Mexican] immigrants.”
