Two failed terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels this week have put Europeans and travelers on alert, as the summer season begins.

An anti-Muslim attack in a London mosque on Saturday was followed by a frustrated terrorist attack on Monday in Paris, where an armed man identified as an Islamic extremist was killed after he rammed a card loaded with weapons and explosives in to a police convoy. Increasing Islamist terror and hate crime against Muslims at the same time...  is this exactly what ISIS want?

Trump to announce new Cuba policy today

Donald Trump is expected to put an end to Obama's efforts to normalize economic and diplomatic relations with Cuba. Clamping down on travel and commercial ties with the island will affect the tourism industry. Photo: EFE/Ernesto Mastrascusa

In a speech in Miami, the US President is expected to reverse Obama's policy of rapprochement with Cuba and to announce stiffer rules on travel and commercial ties with the Caribbean island.

United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions angrily denied the suggestion that he colluded with Russians during the 2016 election, calling allegations an “appalling and detestable lie.”

UK Prime Minister Under Fire after Losing Parliamentary Majority at Snap elections

Theresa May called for this snap general elections three months earlier, hoping to assert her mandate before her government begun negotiations over withdrawing from the European Union. It turned to be a bad idea.

The story of education in lower income neighborhoods is an all too familiar one. The struggle to obtain a stable education is a story of overcoming conditions that are less than favorable, much like the swamp plant. What is causing these students, especially Latinos, to fall behind? How can they grow from these meager and impoverished conditions?
