La popular actriz latina es la protagonista de "Lowriders", un filme centrado en la comunidad latina, que se estrena este viernes. Según las estadísticas de la Asociación del Cine de EEUU (MPAA), los hispanos son la minoría que ve más películas en el país. En 2016, el 23 por ciento de los espectadores que compraron entradas en los cines era de origen hispano.

The death toll in the Venezuelan protests increased to 34 after another young man was killed in Caracas on Wednesday amid escalating tensions provoked by the government"s call for a rewrite of the constitution.

Este primero de mayo se espera que cientos de miles de personas se manifiesten en la menos 44 ciudades del país. En Filadelfia, aunque con una historia larga en la lucha proinmigrante, no está claro aún si la jornada será una segunda versión del “Día sin Inmigrantes” o lo que otros han llamado el “Día sin mí”.

El 23 de Abril se celebra el Día Mundial del Libro, coincidiendo con la fecha de la muerte de Cervantes y Shakespeare. La celebración tiene su origen en la fiesta de Sant Jordi, una tradición centenaria catalana que ha ido popularizándose con el tiempo, en la que los enamorados se regalan un libro y una rosa respectivamente.
