“El General” y “Policía Asesino” es desfigurado en el mural del mercado italiano

Un nuevo día, un nuevo monumento al polémico Rizzo vandalizado en Filadelfia. Manifestantes de ambos bandos, a favor y en contra de este controvertido y corrosivo ex alcalde y comisario de policía de la ciudad, han sido convocados hoy para protestar frente a su estatua. Una de las manifestaciones tendrá lugar hoy lunes a las 4PM, mientras que la otra, convocada por los seguidores de Rizzo, ha sido denegada por el Ayuntamiento.

Another day, another controversial Rizzo monument vandalized in Philadelphia. Ralliers, both those in favor and those against the notoriously corrosive and prejudiced former police commissioner and Mayor, were set to protest today. One is set to occur at 4PM today, while the other, comprised of Rizzo's devotees, has been shut down by the City.

Gustavo Arellano, author of “Taco USA: How Mexican Food Conquered America.” said: “[It is laughable] that white people aren’t supposed to -- pick your word -- rip off or appropriate or get ‘inspired’ by Mexican food, that comida mexicana is a sacrosanct tradition only Mexicans and the white girls we marry can participate in.

Picture this: Taco fixins in a tortilla cone. A flour tortilla cone, no less. 

It comes to you courtesy of a new Food Network explainer video titled “Taco Cones are the New Tacos” in which a young Asian-American woman demonstrates how to “eat two tacos at the same time” by baking tortillas into an ice cream cone shape, filling them with ground beef and adding toppings.

How absurd has the immigration debate become? This absurd: It is now considered controversial when people simply tell the truth. 

As when the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement explains the cold reality that anyone in the United States without the proper legal documents “should be concerned” about being apprehended and deported.
