The building of Caza Aztlán, a community organization that served the Hispanic for decades, has been purchased by investors for the construction of luxury apartments. The historic building will disappear, and so its famous murals.

The Alliance for Prosperity in the Northern Triangle was created in 2014 by the US, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador due to the wave of US arrivals of undocumented and unaccompanied Central American minors.

Bernardo Cuero Bravo, a prosecutor of the National Association of Afro Descendants (Afrodes), was murdered in Malambo, a city in the northern province of Atlantico. He was an activist who defended victims of the armed conflict.
