 05/18/2017 - 08:20
You don’t need to be a political scientist to figure out a few simple truths: In raw numbers, more and more Hispanics will cast ballots in upcoming elections -- as has been the case for the past 36 years.
English

At the outset of their new book, “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign,” Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes note that adviser David Plouffe prioritized three goals for Clinton to win: “It was important to have the right culture and mission, to manage Bill Clinton, and to effectively target Latino voters.”

 05/04/2017 - 08:25
Every May there is an increase in the ridiculousness of the costumes and advertising tie-ins for non-Hispanics to revel in -- and, perversely, it seems to coincide with how poorly actual Mexicans are treated in this country. File

Last year at this time, Donald Trump loomed over a taco bowl at Trump Tower and tweeted out the message: “Happy #CincoDeMayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!”

'Tis the season to be jolly! You're stuffed from the turkey and trimmings, all the relatives have been placated for the time being, and the Christmas carols haven't gotten on your nerves yet.

But things are moving quickly. There are greeting cards to mail, people to visit, electronic gadgets to hunt down and parties to get to. You're busy. Verrrrry busy. And stressed out, and even a little overwhelmed . . . ummmm, maybe this is not the time to ask for a favor?

Well, here I go anyway, but I'll make it as simple as possible: Please feed me.
