President Donald Trump on Wednesday in Cincinnati presented his plan to improve the nation's infrastructure and once again make the country a nation of "builders," giving state and local authorities more freedom of action, fewer environmental regulations and more private support.

[OP-ED]: The perils of assuming anything about the Latino vote

You don’t need to be a political scientist to figure out a few simple truths: In raw numbers, more and more Hispanics will cast ballots in upcoming elections -- as has been the case for the past 36 years.

At the outset of their new book, “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign,” Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes note that adviser David Plouffe prioritized three goals for Clinton to win: “It was important to have the right culture and mission, to manage Bill Clinton, and to effectively target Latino voters.”

We know how well that turned out.

No es necesario ser un politólogo para darse cuenta de algunas verdades simples: En números brutos, más y más hispanos emitirán votos en elecciones futuras—como ha ocurrido en los últimos 36 años. 

En el inicio de su nuevo libro, “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign”, Jonathan Allen y Amie Parnes señalan que el asesor David Plouffe priorizó tres objetivos para que Clinton ganara: “Era importante tener la cultura y la misión adecuadas, manejar a Bill Clinton y procurar eficazmente a los electores latinos.”

Sabemos lo bien que resultó eso.
