Just days after announcing that they would finally allow multiple account usage, Instagram is rolling out yet another new feature.

The photo sharing app announced that they will be introducing a feature that will allow its users to see the total view count from their posted video. Currently, users can only see the number of ‘likes’ displayed below a video or photo but soon the number of views will be displayed instead, according to the social media site’s blog.

According to ABC News, Instagram will count a view if a video has been watching for a minimum of three seconds. The same metric that Instagram’s parent company Facebook uses. The change will arrive in the coming weeks.

While not mattering much to users, the new feature will mean a great deal to brands and creators. Counting views will allow Instagram to better connect with advertisers.

Social media has been in the news a lot this week. Twitter announced Wednesday that they too would be adding a new feature that deals with an algorithm based setting similar to Facebook.
