If there were still doubts that the strategies of the President when it comes to governing are based solely and exclusively on his whims, his message on Twitter this Wednesday makes it quite clear.

After a weekend of uncertainty and disagreement within the Senate, the positions of the main political parties in the country are increasingly difficult, and Donald Trump only insists on adding fuel to the fire.

On Friday, the president invited the Democratic minority leader, Chuck Schumer, to the White House to negotiate an agreement for the financing bill that would include all his demands for border security.

In response, the leader of the Democratic minority withdrew the option to finance the President’s desired Border Wall from the negotiating table, according to the statements of one of his assistants and as first reported by Politico.

During his speech on the floor of the Senate on Monday, Schumer stated that “in exchange for strong DACA protections, I reluctantly put the border wall on the table for discussion. Even that was not enough to entice the President to finish the deal,” CNN reported.

Faced with the president's refusal to approve a bipartisan agreement for the future of the so-called Dreamers (undocumented youth who arrived in childhood), the Democrats have given a vote of confidence to the word of the majority leader in the Senate Mitch McConnell, who assured that the matter would be resolved without outlining any specific route.

After Democrats and Republicans reached this temporary agreement to reopen the government on Monday, the President - who interpreted this as a victory - responded on Twitter by cataloging Schumer as weeping and sentencing that "if there is no wall, there is no DACA".

This type of behavior has become the fundamental characteristic of the Trump government, where the pressure brings out the true facets of each of its participants, especially the president himself, who at times seems to forget "the art of the deal".

But the consequences could be more complicated since the radicalization of the positions of both sides could increase the disagreement in a financing for the rest of the year and aggravate the situation of the young immigrants.
