Trump calls Nutter 'a crude dope'
The Donald responded to Nutter's calling him an "a**hole" and saying that he borrowed "a page from the playbook of Hitler."
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump tweeted a response to Mayor Michael Nutter's remarks about him yesterday, and it's pretty classic Trump stuff.
Tensions flared after an unknown person left a cooked pig's head outside a North Philadelphia mosque late Sunday evening. Then on Monday, Trump launched his newest inflammatory call for a "total and complete shutdown" of Muslim immigration to the U.S.
Nutter stepped up to the plate.
First the mayor said that, if the law permitted, he would ban Trump from entering Philadelphia.
During a press conference Thursday, Nutter stood with two dozen other civic leaders in solidarity with Philly Muslims. But he also took the opportunity to double down by calling Trump an "a**hole" and saying that he "borrowed a page from the playbook of Hitler," among other things.
Someone who goes by the name of "mysterious loser" tweeted at Trump to ask if he heard Nutter's remarks. The response?
"@mysteriousLoser: @realDonaldTrump did you hear the mayor nutter of philadelphias comments towards you? Ignorance" Yes, he is a crude dope!
