Sen Marco Rubio (R-Fl.), whose name has been long time rumored as a potential presidential candidate for 2016, confirmed that he will be making a “huge announcement” on Monday, April 13 in Miami.

“I will announce on April 13 what I’m going to do next in terms of running for president or the U.S. Senate,” Rubio said Monday on Fox News.

The announcement will likely take place at the Freedom Tower, an iconic Miami building known as the Ellis Island of the South, which served as a processing facility for Cuban exiles fleeing Fidel Castro’s government.
