You may never have to set foot in traffic court again
The city wants to make it easier for you to pay tickets and avoid traffic court.
Attention Philly drivers who think speed limits and stop signs are just suggestions — the city wants to make it easier for you to pay those exorbitant tickets you keep getting.
The Philadelphia Municipal Court has added a 24-hour, toll-free voice response system to help ticket defendants answer questions and pay citations without interacting with anyone who has anything to do with traffic court. If you really can’t get what you need by speaking to an interactive machine, the system can put you through to a traffic division employee, too.
“We listened to consumer demand and have actively taken steps to simplify how defendants access traffic citation information, enter a plea, file an appeal or make a payment,” Judge Gary Glazer said.
The city already had an online payment system for traffic citations. The new phone service can be reached at 1-855-868-1675 and the website here.
