President Barack Obama is not only considering taking some sort of executive action to legalize undocumented immigrants, but also making changes to the immigration system based on petitions of big companies that rely on international talent.

Fox News Latino reported that administration officials have compiled a list of recommendations from business groups and tech companies that could undercut GOP claims that Obama is exceeding his authority to help people who have entered the country illegally.

One of the petitions is to change the way green cards are counted, which would make an additional 800.000 available the first year.
This would facilitate the process for companies looking for international talent and would also shorten the waiting time for those being sponsored by a relative.
Obama promised to take executive action after House Speaker, the Republican John Boehner, let him know that he would not be submitting an immigration reform bill to vote this year.
It is expected that Obama could announce some of the measures in September.
