Good news for DACA recipients in the Philadelphia area.
Esperanza Immigration Legal Services is hosting a free legal clinic for DACA recipients in light of a recent court order that has caused U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to resume accepting requests to renew DACA statuses. The information session is designed for people who have already been granted DACA status and are eligible to reapply.
The clinic will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. at Esperanza College, located at 4261 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia.
To ensure that all attendees will be adequately assisted, those planning to attend this free legal clinic should RSVP by calling 215-324-0746.
DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, is an Obama era executive order that protected from deportation hundreds of thousands of immigrants. Last year, President Donald Trump decided to cancel the program.
