President Obama's new health care law is causing many Latinos to be concerned. They  are worried that signing up for the Affordable Health Care Act also known as "Obamacare" could get their family members deported.  The concern is keeping countless Latinos that are eligible from buying into the mandated insurance according the Christian Science Monitor.

About 9 million Latinos in the United States live in families that include members who are undocumented according to the Pew Research Center

Despite a public announcement from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that health care information would remain confidential, numerous Latinos are doubtful.

The ICE reported more than 300,000 people were deported last year, a 10 percent drop from the previous year. Advocates say the numbers are deceiving and do little to stop unnecessary deportations.
