Ann Coulter's Oscar comment enraged Twitter
Ann Coulter once again enraged Twitter with an Oscar Tweet addressed to "Black America."
Pundit Ann Coulter once again outraged Twitter users with an Oscar tweet that, among other things, implied that this year's diversity of award-winners was not a result of Hollywood finally beginning to recognize the accomplishments of gay, Latino and Black actors and directors. Coulter implied that winners' were recognized because of their ethnicities or sexual preferences, and not their feats in the film industry.
"Today's Hollywood PC order: Gays, Blacks, Hispanics. Tomorrow: Gays, Hispanics, Blacks. Enjoy it while you can, Black America! #Oscars," Coulter wrote on Twitter yesterday.

Coulter may have been referring to this years' Oscar "firsts"—first Best Picture directed by a Black filmmaker (Steve McQueen, "12 Years a Slave"), first Latino to win Best Director (Alfonso Cuaron, "Gravity")—all hosted by openly gay celebrity, Ellen DeGeneres.
Rather than reflect on the fact that it took the Oscars until 2014 to reach these "firsts," Coulter chose to boil down winners' accomplishments to their race and sexual preference. She also chose to segregate more than 38 million Americans into "Black America."
In other Oscar-related Twitter news, a mass-selfie Tweeted yesterday by DeGeneres won the all-time record for retweets, beating out Coulter's number of retweets on her "Hollywood PC order" comment by 2.7 million—and counting.
