Say goodbye to 2013 and hello to 2014 in the City of Brotherly Love. AL DIA picks the best of this year's celebrations:

 

The Lodge at Waterfront Winterfest: For $85 per ticket, enjoy an open bar, snacks, music, a champagne toast and fireworks at midnight at this winter pop-up lounge in Penn's Landing.

Blue Cross RiverRink Party on Ice: Enjoy ice skating and a great view of fireworks for $35 as a skater and $25 as a spectator from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Square Drop at Franklin Square: This Old City park is holding their very own free, family-friendly "square drop" at 6 p.m. Also offered: a dance party, craft tables, mini golf, carousel rides, and more from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

El Vez: Dance to music from a live DJ and have a complimentary champagne toast at midnight in this Mexican restaurant with no cover charge.

Undergrounds Arts with West Philadelphia Orchestra: Have fun at Underground Arts with performances by West Philadelphia Orchestra, Johnny Showcase & the Mystic Ticket and the Extraordinaires. Tickets are $30.

Dave & Busters New Year's Eve at Night Party: The arcade is celebrating NYE with a open bar, food, and music for the  21 and up crowd from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $90 per person or $160 per couple. Without the open bar, tickets are $55 per person or $100 per couple.

Cuba Libre 1920s Carnaval de Havana: Salsa, merengue and bachata the night away during the 1920s style party in this Cuban restaurant and club starting at 11 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple and VIP tickets are.$60. The VIP tickets include a two hour open bar.

Countdown 2 Noon at the Please Touch Museum: At noon and 1 p.m., join the King Countdown for music and activities at this museum in Fairmount Park.

New Year's Eve at The Piazza: The Northern Liberties hot spot is hosting a huge party with a five hour premium open bar, buffet-style food provided by local restaurants and live music in a 20,000 square foot heated tent for $85. If you're feeling like a spender, buy VIP tickets for $150.

Black & Gray New Year's Eve Affair at Han Dynasty: Enjoy a party in this Old City restaurant from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Women dressed in black or grey outfits who arrive before 11 p.m. enter for free, and general admission is $30, while VIP is $100.

Silk City New Year's Eve: Bring in the new year dancing to music by DJ DeeJay, open bar, a complimentary champagne toast at midnight, and more starting at 9 p.m. The $40 tickets are only available at the door.

Alma de Cuba: For no cover charge, enjoy music from a live DJ and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight in this Cuban restaurant.

New Year's Eve Midnight Run 5K: Party at McFadden's in South Philly at 10 p.m. and run a 5K race through Philadelphia at midnight! The $60 ticket includes admission for the runner and a guest to the party with open bar and food, and the run.

NYE Celebration 2014 at Xfinity Live!: End 2013 with access to seven parties at Xfinity Live! Celebrate with a five hour open bar, DJs, live music and a complimentary champagne toast all for $85.

 

If parties aren't your ideal way to celebrate, the Delaware River Waterfront will ring in the new year with two free fireworks shows!

The first show, at 6 p.m., is "A Salute to America's Great Composer and Conductor — John Williams" and includes a family friendly selection of music.

The second show, at midnight, is "Party on the Waterfront" and includes pop hits from Lady Gaga, Pitbull, Lorde and more.
