Around $10,500. That is the average difference in pay between a man and a  woman who hold the same full-time job in Pennsylvania, according to a study released by National Partnership for Women & Families.

In the Pa. women are paid an average $39,905 per year, while men are paid $50,412. That means women are making 79 cents for every dollar men make.

The wage gap is smaller in Philadelphia. In the City of Brotherly Love, women are paid 95 cents for every dollar their male counterparts earn, which amounts to $2,207 per year.

Nationally, the gender pay gap is the same as in Pennsylvania. However gender is not the only aspect that contributes to a salary gap. The wage gap is even larger for African-American women (they earn 60 cents on every dollar) and Latinas (55 cents for every dollar).
