First Lady Michelle Obama was the highly anticipated speaker at a campaign rally this morning for gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf.

Hundreds flocked to the ticketed public event at the Dorothy Emanuel Recreation Center in the Northwest Philadelphia to hear Mrs. Obama speak in support of Wolf.

The first lady and other present supporters like Philadelphia Councilwoman Marian Tasco, Mayor Michael Nutter, U.S. Senator Bob Casey and Rep. Dwight Evans urged citizens to get out and vote during the upcoming election on Nov. 4.

"When we stay home, they win," Mrs. Obama said.

This morning’s rally comes just 19 days before Wolf faces incumbent Gov. Tom Corbett in the gubernatorial election. According to recent polls, Wolf is leading Corbett among Pennsylvania voters.

The White House says that President Barack Obama is scheduled to come to Pennsylvania later this month to campaign for Wolf.

Pennsylvania is one of various stops the first lady is making this month to show support for Democratic candidates for governor or U.S. Senate in Illinois, Massachusetts, Florida, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
