The Wawa Welcomes America: Hoagie Day right outside the Constitution Center showed the growing popularity of the festival, as hundreds waited in line for a free hoagie. 

Now in it's fifth year, the Wawa Welcomes America will feature artists such as South Philly bred The Roots, R&B singer Miguel and Jennifer Nettles.  

When asked about the meaning of the events to the city of brotherly love, longtime Philadelphia resident Vivian Gary replied "Bringing these events together shows how the communities are coming together... and our wonderful mayor, Micheal Nutter, he is a huge part of this."
