AL DÍA News World Cup Party took place on June 13 at The Hub Commerce Square, in partnership with Comcast and Philadelphia Daily News. Guests were able to watch two matches (Netherlands v. Spain and Chile v. Australia), while enjoying Starr Events Catering and an open bar featuring Caipirinha's (Brazil's national cocktail) from Leblon Cachaça, assorted beers from Yards Brewery, wine and other spirits. Attendees also participated in raffles to win various items such as tickets to a play, dinners at local restaurants, an autographed jersey from the Philadelphia Union and more.

All of the proceeds benefited the AL DÍA Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization supporting scholarships for students of journalism and promoting excellence in multimedia and multicultural journalism.
