Attention Game of Thrones fans!

The Academy of Natural Sciences will be hosting Dire Wolves and Dragons Day, a celebration of the animals and creatures featured in “Game of Thrones”, HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novels, on April 12.

Just hours before the new season of Game of Thrones premieres, the event will separate fact from fiction and showcase the real animals that the creatures of Westeros are based on.

Attendees will meet two dog/wolf hybrids from Howling Woods Farm, learn the history and see fossils of the dire wolf, view fossils that have inspired the creation of dragons, make their own dragon eggs and much more.
