It’s not a secret Philadelphia that  is a city full of bike lovers — but unfortunately it’s also full of roads with bumps and cracks, which can make biking throughout the city an uncomfortable experience.

Redshift Sports, a local company founded by three mechanical engineers that "also happen to love cycling, triathlons and basically anything that gets us outdoors,” has came up with a solution.

They have developed and created ShockStop, a shock-absorbing bike stem. The purpose is to isolate the upper body from the imperfections of the road thanks to a system that absorbs and reduces vibration.

This patent-pending creation needs to be funded. The company has launched a Kickstarter campaign from August 25 to September 30 that is going quite well. In the first few hours approximately 60 people backed the campaign donating almost $6,000 of the $25,000 Redshift Sports needs.
