In 2000, Herman and Candelaria Zapp set out on a 16-month trip from their home in Argentina to backpack around Alaska. But that trip has turned into a round-the-world trip that is lasting more than 16 years. The couple left their comfortable life in Buenos Aires to travel in a 1928 Graham-Paige Model 610, with a top speed of 35 miles per hour.

On their tour around the world, Herman and Candelaria had four children. These days, the Zapp family explains their 16 year travel story to the audience of the Dubai's Traveler Festival, where they have been invited to participate.

On the way back from their first trip to Alaska they got their first son, Nahuel Pampa, born in the USA. His second son, Lucas Tehue, was born in Ushuaia (Argentina), and then they wrote the book Atrapa tu sueño (Spark your Dream), available in Spanish and English.  In Canada they had her daughter Paloma. When they jumped to Australia, his youngest son was born. They have been in Asia and Africa. Europe was kept for the end. In the next 5 months, the Zapp's are going to be travelling around Spain.

As reported in El País.
