Sometimes we all need a drink after a long day at work, but some who work too much are more likely to indulge that habit.
People who work more hours are more likely to drink, a recent study found.
Those who work more than 48 hours a week are more likely to drink too much in comparison to people who work fewer hours, according to a new study published in The BMJ.
After surveying more than 300,000 participants, the study determined heavy drinking to be more than 14 drinks per week for women and 21 or more drinks for men.
The study also determined that the increase of alcohol consumption due to long work hours did not differ between socioeconomic groups.
