Are politics harsher than the Alaskan Arctic? U.S. President Barack Obama seems to be ready to find out in front of millions of people. But he won’t do it alone, he will have the help of TV adventurer Bear Grylls.
The president will be one of Grylls’ many famous guests on his show ¨Running Wild with Bear Grylls,” which airs on NBC. Together, Obama and the outdoorsman hope to show the world the devastating effects of the climate change on the state.
“The two will then come together in the Alaskan Wilderness. President Obama will become the first U.S. president to receive a crash course in survival techniques from Bear Grylls. The visit will be taped and aired on NBC later this year,” said NBC in a statement.
The Exit Glacier in Alaska’s Kenai Mountains will be one the locations of the show, which will be shot on Tuesday, according to the White House.

Obama will be the first president to test his survival skills in front of millions of people. Actors like Kate Hudson, Michelle Rodriguez, Kate Winslet or Jesse Tyler Ferguson have already done it.
