The people of Philadelphia can’t drive.
In an Allstate report, Philadelphia has the highest car collision frequency, among cities of more than 1 million. Philly ranked 192 out of Allstate’s 2014 Safest Driving City Ranking list of 200.
The study said that Philadelphians are 61.2% more likely to get into an accident than the average American. It also said that the average year between accidents for Philly drivers is 6.2 years.
The City of Brotherly Love’s ranking last year was 189.
According to the report, cities with lesser populations that ranked lower than Philadelphia include Boston, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. The safest city for driving in 2014 is Fort Collins, Colorado.
Allstate states the goal of the report is “to boost the country’s discussion about safe driving and to increase awareness of the importance of being safe and attentive behind the wheel.”
