Love has died this week. One of most famous celebrity couples, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, are no longer in a relationship. After almost 40 years together, The Muppets couple announced their break up.

Both Kermit and Miss Piggy posted an statement on their Twitter accounts on Tuesday, August 4 announcing to the world the end of their long term relationship.

They didn’t explain the reasons that drove them to this decision, but they do clarify they are not romantically involved anymore, but  will continue to work together professionally.

Their fans may have had their heart broken (Twitter is the proof), but at least the world would have the chance to see the couple working together. But for first time in decades, they will do the show as friends.
