Looks like Barbie will have to “let it go”... her crown that is.

Barbie is no longer the most popular girls’ toy of the holiday season, according to a report by the National Retail Federation (NRF). Disney’s “Frozen” princesses Elsa and Anna have taken the spot.

The NRF’s recent “Holiday Top Toys Survey” found that  20 percent of parents plan to buy “Frozen” merchandise for their little girls this holiday season. Just 16.8 percent of parents said they will purchase a Barbie for their daughters. This is the first time in more than a decade that Barbie is not the number one selection for parents.

The popularity of “Frozen” isn’t the only thing that could be causing Barbie’s downfall. Barbie has been criticized for her unrealistic body, leading to the creation of Lammily, a more realistic, and “normal” doll that includes a sticker pack  to apply cellulite, scars, pimples, and moles to the doll.

Last week, Mattel pulled a recent book, “Barbie: I Can Be a Computer Engineer,” due to controversy. Critics said Barbie was portrayed as an incompetent worker who couldn’t do anything without the help of boys.
