The beer garden offers visitors a view of several of the most noteworthy landmarks in America, overlooking the Liberty Bell and Independence National Historical Park.

Restauranteur Michael Schulson and his partner David Fierabend, principal of Groundswell Design Group , envisioned an open space offering local beer at the heart of the Historical District.

“Philadelphia is home to the country’s most beautiful – and walk-able – historic area, but until now, there was nowhere to relax and take it all in,” Schulson said.

The sprawling 20,000-square-foot-space includes a variety of first-come, first-serve communal seating areas including picnic tables and fire pits surrounded by greenery and plantings.

Starting this Tuesday IBG will open daily serving an all-day menu from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays, until 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturday. The bar stays open until 1:45 p.m.
