Philly’s beer culture is about to upgrade its status by joining a nationwide beer education and craft brewery tasting tours that already take place in Boston, Washington, DC, Burlington (VT) and New Hampshire’s seacoast.
Partnering with craft breweries and distilleries in the region, City Brew Tours will launch a series of tours through which participants will be able to explore the region’s rich beer history and culture. The all-inclusive tour will feature private tastings at each brewery, plus food pairings from beer-focused restaurants, round-trip transportation from brewery to brewery and a dedicated beer guide to teach participants about the brewing process.
Guests will have guided tastings of 15 different beers, along with in-depth analysis about the brewing process and how to identify popular styles, such as Saisons, Stouts, IPAs, Pilsners and Porters.
Starting July 10, each tour lasts approximately 5 hours and costs $85 per person; and will leave from 1211 Arch Street in downtown Philadelphia, adjacent to the Reading Terminal Market.
